Founded in 1927 in Cantù, Italy, in the heart of Lombardy, TABU embodies Italian excellence in wood dyeing technology and has brought its renowned products to more than 60 countries worldwide. Three generations of dedicated development has made TABU the only world manufacturer to produce natural wood veneers, natural dyed wood veneers and multilaminar wood veneers, to Italian quality standards while guaranteeing the source of wood is derived from legal and certified forests.
TABU is well known for its dye-through process which keeps the aesthetic characteristics of the wood uniform and assures it has been coloured thoroughly, consistently and in a multitude of colours. Representing a unique balance of authentic dyeing technology, intensive research and unlimited innovative ideas applied to wood, TABU’s collection is a must-have on the shelves of every design studio.

The supply of raw material occurs in accordance with rigorous FSC® standards, (respect for Nature and Populations) a forest certification to which TABU has been certified since 2003, creating an internal traceability system.
Co2 Neutral
TABU has a long-term commitment to sustainability. Since 2012, the TABU plant has been equipped with a photovoltaic system, among the largest in Lombardy which leads to significant reductions in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
